Only the European market still produces their updates on DVD You can copy the DVD's to a USB stick and load the maps via USB if you want but unfortunately it doesn't work the other way around.. 2009 models require a software update to the CIC in order to update over USB (which is why BMW notes with 2009 models require a dealership trip for the update)..
